GETTING TO KNOW YOUR DALMATIAN

Dalmatians are a high-energy breed that need a high-energy, high-quality diet to keep them at their best.

Well known for their distinctive spotted coats, Dalmatian owners also know them for their big personalities. The best dog food for Dalmatians not only keeps up their energy levels, but also helps to deal with Dalmatian health problems like having a tendency towards forming urinary stones in their bladder.

Temperament

The Dalmatian dog breed is a bundle of energy. Because of their happy-go-lucky nature and boundless stamina, they're always ready for a run and so need owners that like a lot of exercise as well. Dalmatian owners generally find if they train their pets well, they'll have a mild-mannered, highly loyal dog that is very eager to please.

Weight

Dalmatians are tall, muscular dogs. Although they aren’t prone to weight gain, a watchful eye should be placed on their food intake, as they aren’t fussy eaters and will happily eat as much as food as they can.

Muscles & Joints

Adult Dalmatians have incredible endurance so daily exercise is a must for owners of this breed to make sure their muscular frame is properly maintained.

Skin & Coat

Dalmatians have a short, smooth coat that doesn’t require regular grooming. It is still a good idea to give them a nice brush every now and then. It will help remove dead hairs, promote a soft, shiny coat and give you time to bond with your pet.

BECAUSE DALMATIANS HAVE A UNIQUE BITE

Urinary Tract Health

Dalmatians are prone to developing urinary stones so a diet with adapted protein sources can reduce the buildup of crystals in their bladder and help maintain a healthy urinary system.

Healthy Cardiac Function

The Dalmatian breed has a history of heart issues. In order to reduce the likelihood of a coronary issue developing, our diet contains specific nutrients such as taurine and EPA & DHA that help support good cardiac function.

Healthy Skin

EPA & DHA are not only good for the heart, they're also good for the skin. In combination with Omega 6s, they are added to the Dalmatian diet to help support the skin’s barrier role and maintain overall skin health.
